Vivian Volte

This lovely lady is was a slightly more 'involved' project than many of my other art dolls. 
As well as wool felt and a vintage embroidered doily (which are usually involved!), I used armature wire to bring a new element (and function!) to the piece. Her horns were made as straight cones with wire inside, which I curled up once they were all sewn up and stuffed, and the electricity cord also has wire, and can be moulded and adjusted.

As well as here imposing horns and electric component, she has fine booties, posable arms and a vintage zip for her mouth. She is all designed and hand sewn by myself.
Her favourite food is alfalfa sprouts with honey and iron filings, and she likes to collect blown lightbulbs and empty matchboxes.
